Celebrating the life of

William Edwin Webb, II

January 04, 2010 - February 05, 2014

William Edwin Webb, II

William Edwin Webb, II gained his angel wings on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 when he went home to our Heavenly Father. In his final days, William was happy in his home surrounded by family and friends whose lives he touched.

William was only 4 years old and yet with such a short life, he touched so many. William fought neuroblastoma, a rare form of pediatric cancer, for 11 months. His strength and determination were evident to all that knew him. William's life may appear short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His bright smile and sweet voice melted the heart of all who knew him; while his quirky sense of humor always brought a smile and endeared friends and strangers alike.

Though he was known for his strong battle against cancer, he was still a normal little boy who was more than just a child fighting a disease. He loved simple things. William took pleasure in riding in his wagon to feed the ducks with his family, having his parents swing him on his swing, playing in his grandmother's school room before the other children arrived, riding in the boat with his grandfather, making silly faces, teasing his father and so many other simple pleasures, but most importantly he loved being with his mother. His favorite color was red, and he enjoyed listening to and singing children's bible songs. He was never far from his soft blankie, his special water bottle, or his sewing toy.

While the loss of William is not easy, we want to celebrate his life. He will forever remain in our hearts and be our superhero. He was brave beyond measure and brought happiness to more people than we will ever know. We will continue to cherish his memory and use his strength to keep life in perspective

He is survived by his parents, William E. "Bill" and Danielle Kelley Webb of Savannah; brother, Brian Boulware of Savannah; sister, Kelley Webb of Savannah; maternal grandparents, Doyle and Barbara "Bo" & "Coach" Kelley of Savannah; paternal grandmother, Ann Webb of Conyers, GA; paternal great grandmother, Carolyn Murphy of Dublin, GA; uncle, Doyle Kelley, Jr. and his wife, Mary of Savannah; cousins, Joshua and Jacob Kelley both of Savannah.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Isle of Hope United Methodist Church conducted by Reverend Michael Ricker. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

Remembrances: Warriors for William in care of any Wells Fargo Bank.

My sincerest condolences on your loss. William first touched my life via friends on Facebook. After watching videos and reading the post about your brave and precious little boy he very quickly touched my heart. Keeping William and his loving family in my prayers.

We have followed your journey from the beginning. ...Jesus was there the whole time and in the end swept precious William up in his arms away from all pain and harm of this world. He will be apart from us for just a fleeting second until we as believers join him. What a joyous time in heaven as he is welcomed.....and what better people we are for knowing and caring about him. Bless you all for sharing him with us. God is here to comfort you until you are reunited. Love, Bill and Dianne White

Danielle and Bill, you don't know me, but my daughter, Katie Crawford, went to SCPS and Coach Kelley was always so kind to my family. I just want you to know that you and your families will continue to be in my prayers. My heart breaks for you, and I pray that god will bless you with the comfort and strength that only HE can provide.
